Repair (initially titled Undoing) is an ongoing performance work that started in 2015. It is a series of performances that continues till date.
In this series I examine the grey areas in feminism through the politics of food in relation to culture and family structures. It passive aggressively nudges the intangible elephant in the room: politics of complicated relationship between women, the focus being on the mother and daughter relationship and how food connects and complicates these culturally endorsed faux practices of unsaid rules laid by patriarchy. My performance work series 'Repair' is a bag full of evidence painstakingly put together based on facts from personal life experience. My interest is to learn and understand the intangible microscopic details of how food, ethnicity and culture that one is born into influences the experience of intimate blood relationships.
Intellectual Masturbation / Intellectual Slumber
A performance art work that requests the art world’s ‘humble, great intellectuals and academia’ holding webinar marathons, book reading sprees and podcasts to take a small break and reflect...maybe? Reflect about intellectual masturbation. Reflect about intellectual masturbation done for the sake of intellectual masturbation. Yes I too am guilty. No I’m not preaching.
